Honouring Excellence -New Roles, New Responsibilities.
The experiences of an individual teach people and inspire leaders while the experiences of a team mould the future generations and shape the destiny of a nation.
DSE, Attapur reached a milestone with a decade-long journey and set foot into the eleventh academic year, acquiring the much needed experience and expertise to hone and nurture the skills of the alpha-generation by making the students a part of the activities of the school. The eleventh investiture ceremony, celebrated at PR Palace on the 28th June 2023, Wednesday, paved the way for the students to embark on the path of responsibility.
The chief guest of the event Prof. L.S. Ganesh, Vice Chancellor ICFAI foundation for higher education, along with the eminent dignitaries was welcomed and accorded the guard of honour. The student council leaders dressed in their blazers stood resolute, ready to take on their responsibilities due to be conferred.
The programme commenced with the auspicious prayer and lamp lighting ceremony, invoking the blessings of the almighty. The guests were cordially welcomed and a graceful classical dance performance set the stage for the ceremony to take off. The chief guest along with the Secretary Rama Ma’am, Academic Director Shashi Ma’am, Administrator Reshmi Ma’am, Principal Mr. Augustine Thomas, Vice Principal Bharti Ma’am and Head Mistress Lakshmi Gowri ma’am badged the student delegates.
The proud leaders of the newly elected council walked confidently onto the stage affirming the belief and trust laid in them, to take the oath of office administered by the Principal.
The Head Boy and the Head girl, in their acceptance speech acceded their responsibility by pledging allegiance to the school rules and thanked the School Management for believing in their capabilities and supporting them to be the ambassadors of the School’s pride and honour. The student leaders promised their loyalty and complete integrity in discharging their duties.
The dynamic and venerated Chief Guest, in his very interactive address demonstrated ‘The Value of Resistance’ and the efforts required to resist negativity. He exhorted the need for the youngsters to remain united yet independent to help the country emerge as a truly independent nation. Quoting an anecdote from the Mahabharata, he urged the young minds to advocate peace and harmony and oppose war. The ‘Three Second Truth’ experiment, bespoke the value of taking an initiative and pursuing it persistently. He further encouraged the students to put in sincere collaborative efforts for the team to achieve success. He appealed to the parents to be fair to their children in their journey of learning and to teach them to remain grounded and humble in life.
Principal Mr. Augustine Thomas, in his talk encouraged the student council to advocate optimism and cast a positive influence on the society.
The spirited cultural extravaganza emanated the impactful new beginning for the year ahead. The enthusiasm of the participants matched the appreciation in the parent fraternity that attended, to acknowledge the achievement of their wards. The flashes of the cell phones, captured the picture perfect moments of the event.
The Vote of thanks and the National Anthem following it brought the curtains down on the programme.
