School Prefectorial Body Elections -2023-24

Free and fair elections are the bedrock of democracy and the most transparent way of expressing the aspirations of voters. The students of Grades V-X in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills exuberantly participated in the Student Council Elections 2023-24 on 19th April, 2023. The motto of the elections was ‘Your Campus, Your Voice, Your Vote’. After vigorous campaigning by the nominees for the different positions in the student council, the paperless elections, which adopted the electronic method of voting, were conducted in a smooth and organized manner. The teaching staff too participated in the election process. Voting in school elections is positively related to feeling prepared to vote as an adult, to being committed to vote when 18, to political knowledge, and to engagement in forms of peaceful activism.
