Investiture Ceremony – Decade at DSE – Designing Destinies

The motto at Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills is to create leaders of the future and the Investiture Ceremony is an occasion for the mantle of leadership to be passed on to the newly elected School Student Council members. This year’s ceremony witnessed decennial celebrationson 1st July, 2023 on the completion of ten glorious years of the school’s inception. The ceremony commenced with the ebullient welcome of the Chief Guest Dr. Shailja Chief Scientist at CSIR – Indian Institute of Chemical Technology; Ms Shilpa Ravi Chairperson DSE Group of Institutions; Secretary Ms Rama Devi; Academic Director Ms Shashikala; Administrator DSE Attapur Ms Reshmi; Principal Ms Veena Murthy; Headmistress Ms Anasuya; Principals, Vice Principal and Headmistresses of the sister branches of DSE; Coordinators and parents. The lighting of the auspicious lamp, floral tributes to the late Chairman Sri Madhusudan Rao Garu, the mellifluous rendition of the school song and a song titled ‘Hall of Fame’ that reflects positivity and a Hindi song ‘Titli ke rang’ set the mood for a glorious ceremony.
The gracefully performed invocation dance invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha, and enthralled everyone. The Chief Guest conferred the badges and sashays to the elated and proud Student Council members, who were elected after a fair and free election process. Principal Ms Veena Murthy administered the solemn oath to them and exhorted them to fulfil their responsibilities towards the institutions with earnestness and dedication. In her speech she advised them to face challenges with courage, develop a healthy ecosystem, and express gratitude towards parents and teachers for further growth. The Chief Guest in her address spoke eloquently about developing Curriculum Redesign towards Innovation, Self Reliance and Sustainability through ABHAY. A video showcased a sneak peak of the achievements, celebrations and important events during a decade of DSE Banjara Hills. The Head Boy and Head Girl in their speeches profusely thanked the school and parents for supporting them and promised to fulfil their responsibilities with utmost sincerity. The spectacular grand finale dance showcased ten different dance forms such as classical, contemporary, folk dance and Zumba, etc. representing the ten years of DSE Banjara Hills. It brought the curtains down on the magnificent ceremony. The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the Cultural Secretaries.
