Communication is key in increasing parents’ understanding of, and ability to manage their child’s behaviour in academics and social development. Parent Orientation Program for the parents of Pre-Primary- Grade 2 was conducted in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills on 11th June, 2024 with this in mind. The program started with a video showcasing the vision of the school in ensuring the holistic development of students in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas. The video gave a sneak peak about the facilities made available to the students such as computer lab, Math and Science labs, etc. The key management members, Coordinators, and HODs were introduced to the parents. Principal Ms Bharti spoke at length about the need to inculcate good habits among young students such as doing things independently, promoting social skills among them, and maintaining a regular schedule, etc. Coordinator for PP-Grades I & II Ms Sana Ahmed apprised the parents about the various essential agreements such as grooming of students, homework details, bell and dispersal timings etc. She also spoke about the necessity for parents to regularly check the almanac and the parent app for any updates or information. The details about teaching methodology at the PP level were given along with the areas of observations such as punctuality, discipline, academic records, and competitions, etc. Ms Lateef gave information about how to use the E-Library and its benefits. IT HOD Ms Sangeetha gave detailed information about the various aspects and benefits of the parent app. Ms Sana answered the queries raised by the parents.
