Inter-House TED Talk Competition – The TED Conclave

The participants from Grades IX & X in the Inter-House TED Talk Competition – the TED Conclave in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills performed exceptionally well on 10th November, 2002. They were confident, articulate, well-informed and showed poise while presenting their ideas on the topics that were given to them. They used props such as PPTs, video, paintings, flash cards to effectively put forth their views on topics such as leadership, vocational guidance, the right age to give mobile phones to children, etc. Sameeha Yasmin and Nellore Harshavardhan from Grade X won the first position, Sesha Sai from Grade X won the second position and Astik Mahapatra from Grade IX won the third position in a competition that was tough to judge. Judges Ms. Pallavi Bahuguna and Ms. Tafseen Mohsin praised the participants’ performances and confidence. Principal Ms. Veena Murthy congratulated the winners and advised the students to take the challenge of public speaking after due preparation and practice. She appreciated the participants for their courage in speaking in front of an informed audience.
