Empowering Leadership embodies the spirit of leading from the front. It inspires others to reach greater heights of success through successful collaboration. This was the essence of the Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills on 29th June, 2024 with the motto ‘Harmonious unison leading with a vision’. The mantle of leadership was passed on to the newly elected School Prefectorial Body in a ceremony marked with solemnity of the occasion. The Chief Guest Dr N Kishore Nath Scientist and Project Director DRDO, other esteemed dignitaries Ms Shilpa Ravi Chairperson DSE Group of Institutions, Secretary Ms Rama Devi DSE Group of Institutions, Administrator DSE Attapur Ms Reshmi, Principal Ms Bharti, Headmistress Ms Anasuya, Principals, Vice Principal and Headmistresses of the sister branches of DSE, Coordinators and parents were given a hearty welcome. The lighting of the lamp – symbolising the spread of knowledge and the mellifluous rendition of the song ‘Maitreyi’ set the uplifting mood for the occasion.
The gracefully performed Invocation Dance seeking the blessing of the Almighty delighted the audience and received thunderous applause. The Chief Guest and Ms Shilpa Ravi conferred the badges and sashays to the elated and proud Student Council members, who were elected after a fair and free election process. Ms Rama Devi and Ms Reshmi conferred the sashays and badges to the newly elected House members in the Pipping Ceremony. The Chief Guest administered the oath to the newly elected Student Cabinet and congratulated them. He enjoined them to inculcate values and build competencies that will take them far ahead in life. The pleasing rendition of the song ‘Fire on up’ galvanised the students to reach for greater heights.
In the acceptance speech the Head Boy and Head Girl profusely thanked the management, institution and the students for electing them and reposing faith in them. They promised to carry out their responsibilities with dedication and sincerity.
In the skit ‘The Revelation’ primary students performed a skit so well that listed out the features and importance of the Investiture Ceremony in an adorable manner, garnering huge applause from everyone. Principal Ms Bharti in her address started on a congratulatory note to the newly elected council members and exhorted them to be true leaders rather than just popular leaders. The grand finale was indeed a pinnacle of glory that showcased robust and energetic dance movements that were brilliantly choreographed. The program concluded with an eloquent vote of thanks and national anthem.
