Adhirohan – Sports Day 2024-25
The Annual Sports Day of DSE Manikonda which unfolded with electrifying energy on October 27th was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Major General Shankaranarayanan. The event commenced with a memorable unveiling of the school’s new mascot— the eagle, symbolizing strength, vision, and freedom. This majestic emblem inspired everyone, setting the stage for an exhilarating day of sports and celebration.
The day kicked off with a meticulously orchestrated march past led by the Head Boy and Head Girl as they moved with disciplined precision, embodying unity and pride. Major General Shankaranarayanan took the salute, admiring the students’ impeccable coordination. The honor of the “Best Marching Contingent” went to Trojans for displaying outstanding commitment and synchrony.
It was a moment of pride as the toppers of the previous year were felicitated with a momento, citation and a cash prize of Rs.15,000, Rs.10,000, and Rs.5000 for the overall topper, second highest and third highest scorer respectively. The subject toppers were each awarded a momento, citation and a cash award of Rs.3000. This recognition of their dedication is sure to inspire their juniors to give their best.
Following this the stadium came alive with the vibrant drills that not only filled the ambience with color and energy but also showcased the spirit of teamwork and determination. Students then competed fiercely across various events, with cheers echoing in the air. Ultimately, it was the “Trojans” house that claimed the overall sports trophy, celebrating a well-deserved victory. Major General Shankaranarayanan’s presence and words left a lasting impact, igniting the spirit of excellence in every student.
