Parent Orientation for Grade I

The transition from Pre-Primary to Grade 1 is a significant milestone for both children and parents. It’s a time filled with excitement, anticipation, and maybe a touch of nervousness as well. To familiarise parents with the expectations, procedures, and curriculum of Grade 1, Parent Orientation session was held on 10th June at DSE, Manikonda. An overview of the Grade 1 curriculum was given by Ms. Sugra Fatima, Coordinator, along with her team of mentors. Details of the subjects taught, teaching methodologies, co-curricular activities, assessment pattern and the guidelines to be followed for better functioning of the school were shared. The parents were given an opportunity to get acquainted with the HRTs and other subject teachers in a meet and greet session. Ms. Gayathri, Head of the IT Department, demonstrated the usage of DSE app which provides information about homework, circulars, attendance and assignments. The session was successful at establishing a collaborative partnership between school and parents for the social, emotional and academic development of the students.
