Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2022 in a special assembly program. Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices that originated in ancient India with an aim to control and still the mind. Under the guidance of Yoga teacher Mr. Gowri Naidu, the students performed the most difficult asanas such as Purna Chakrasana, Purna Bhujangasana, Hanumanasana, Eka Pada Chakrasana, Pada Shirshasana, Purna Dhanurasana, Tittibhasana, and Salabhasana with utmost grace and ease. The asanas were performed to melodious and soothing instrumental music. These students have brought laurels to the school by winning Yoga competitions at the state and national level. Simple asasnas were performed by all the students and teachers as instructed by the Yoga teacher.
